Inside organ case (1)
Inside the organ case: the early stages of installing the key action. This consists of thin wooden 'trackers' which connect the keys to the 'pallets' (valves) which admit the wind to the pipes when the player depresses a key. The flat panel supporting horizontal bars is the Great roller-board, which alters the direction of travel from horizontal to vertical. You can also see some of the wooden trunking which will convey wind from the bellows to the soundboard on which the pipes sit.
